All NCP Exam Registrants qualify for a Guide if desired. Guides may be requested through December of each exam cycle. 

Guides do not take the place of an exam preparation training course but serve as resources to improve the NCP journey. Your assigned Guide can be asked questions and provide direction but is not responsible for training on subject matter. Guides are forbidden from discussing specific exam questions and/or content or to answer study questions.

A Guide will typically spend up to 5 hours during the candidate’s exam preparation answering questions about how and what to study, general check subject matter, and the exam experience. Guides are encouraged to discuss the four main blueprint categories and how to best allocate study time.

Being paired is based on Guide availability. Once paired, reassignment is possible by contacting 214-273-3218 or email ncp@theclearinghouse.org

All active NCPs qualify to be a Guide. Guides earn and track NCP CE Credits for time spent with the assigned NCP exam candidate.

Enrollment: June 1 – December 1 for upcoming year’s exam.
Earlier enrollment increases likelihood of being paired.

     •  May provide guidance to additional people in a group setting. However, CE credits will only be provided for working with one
        assigned/paired candidate per exam cycle

Registration
The Guide signs the oath, emails it to ncp@theclearinghouse.org and becomes paired based on candidate availability and registrant sign ups. Once paired, reassignment is possible by calling 214-273-3218. See Guide Handbook for program details or email questions to ncp@theclearinghouse.org
