The Clearing House Association, L.L.C. (TCH) joined with 12 other bank and nonbank trade associations requesting that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) extend the comment period until January 17, 2024, for its notice of proposed rulemaking (NPR) under Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act, representing 90 days after it was publicly issued by CFPB.  Comments on the NPR, which was published in the Federal Register on October 31, 2023, are currently due December 29, 2023.  The letter notes the importance and complexity of the proposal and that three federal holidays fall within the original comment period.
